Ceramic Coating Warranty and Service Agreement

At Shiny Side Up Mobile Detailing, we stand behind the quality of our ceramic coating installations. Our coating packages provide protection ranging from 3 to 9 years, depending on the package selected, when properly maintained. Ceramic coatings are designed to enhance gloss while providing protection against UV damage, oxidation, environmental contamination, water spotting, and dirt buildup, while also making the vehicle significantly easier to clean. While ceramic coatings offer excellent protection, they do not make the vehicle scratch-proof and will not prevent rock chips or physical damage.

If a coating fails prematurely due to a product or installation issue, Shiny Side Up Mobile Detailing will reapply the coating at no additional cost to the client, provided the vehicle has been properly maintained. To maintain warranty coverage and ensure optimal performance, clients should avoid washing the vehicle for 7 days after installation, avoid automated brush-style car washes, and promptly remove contaminants such as bird droppings, bug residue, and tree sap. Regular washing using proper techniques is strongly recommended, and we advise clients to maintain their coating through monthly or bi-monthly maintenance washes, which we offer through our maintenance programs designed specifically for ceramic coated vehicles.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper washing techniques, automatic brush car washes, neglect, lack of maintenance, environmental damage that is not promptly removed, scratches, rock chips, or accidents. While ceramic coatings help reduce water spotting, mineral deposits can still occur if water is allowed to dry on the surface, making routine washing important. As a mobile service, clients must ensure the vehicle is accessible during the scheduled appointment and that the vehicle can remain dry for approximately 12–24 hours after installation to allow the coating to properly cure.

Warranty inspections or reapplications must be completed within Shiny Side Up Mobile Detailing’s service area. If the vehicle is outside our service area, the client may be responsible for transportation of the vehicle or applicable travel fees.
